The Bastrop County Democratic Party is seeking art for a T‑shirt design featuring the theme:
WE BELIEVE that all people are created equal, that this is America’s fundamental ideal.
Overview
The Bastrop County Democratic Party invites artists to submit work for the T-shirt design. This is a fantastic opportunity for talented individuals to illustrate one of the foundational beliefs of the Democratic Party. The winner will receive:
- $500 for a winning design
- Recognition on our social media platforms
- Two free T-shirts featuring the winning design
Qualifications/Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a Texas resident and may not be a BCDP officer or precinct chair.
- Entry fee is a suggested donation of $10 that covers as many as 3 entries for consideration per artist. The $10 donation should be made at bastropdemocrats.org at the same time as submitting artwork.
Deadlines
- Submission deadline is August 22, 2026, by 5:00 p.m.
- Notification to the selected artist will occur on or before August 31.
- The artist with the winning design will be invited to submit a bio and photo of themselves by 5:00 p.m. September 5. The bio and photo will be featured alongside the T-shirts at local events and on social media.
Design Requirements
- Works must be original to artist submitting, created without the use of AI, and free from copyright restrictions.
- Maximum design size 9”x9”.
- Designs should reflect the spirit of the theme and organization.
- Designs can be one color, be suitable for printing on various T-shirt colors (linework and solid fills only; no shading or gradients).
- Designs that are full color must be made as a high-resolution vector.
- Any text must be fully incorporated into the design.
- The accepted design will become the property of the Bastrop County Democratic Party and may be used for other promotional purposes.
Submission Requirements
Please submit your file as a PNG, AI, EPS with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI.
