Feb. 12, 2020—This month’s BCDP women’s luncheon drew a good crowd, all of them energized and excited to talk about the coming primary election. We met at Cedar’s Mediterranean Grill and took our last straw poll before the election. This time the results were even more decisive, with only three candidates receiving votes. Amy Klobuchar came out on top by a wide margin, with 12 votes. Pete Buttigieg was second with 5 votes, and Michael Bloomberg drew the third spot with 2 votes.
Also on the agenda was a short presentation by Annie Marrs, who is coordinating our homemade cookies donation for the Bastrop Food Bank’s Empty Bowl Project. Please GO HERE for more details.
And finally, we were all tickled by Joye Hyman’s new hat, which she swears she will wear every time she goes out until November. Its message? “Flush the turd November 3rd.” We approve that message.
