Tuesday, Sept. 24, was National Voter Registration Day, and several BCDP volunteers stepped up to assist the Bastrop County Elections Department in this nonpartisan effort. The group set up in the parking lot outside the Coffee Dog in Bastrop and registered several new voters. Many others took the forms home to complete. Special thanks to Coffee Dog, who supplied coffee for participants, and Cicis, who brought over a box of cinnamon buns as a thank-you.
