Oct. 10, 2019—The women of Bastrop County Democratic Party gathered this month for lunch at Casa Chapala in Bastrop. In this month’s straw poll we voted for the 12 Democratic candidates who qualified for the Oct. 15 debate, asking each voter to pick a favorite. Once again, Elizabeth Warren led the race, scoring eight votes. She was followed by O’Rourke (three votes), Biden (two votes), and Sanders (one vote).
